Section 2.2 Equipment And Clothing
In this, the fifth webinar in our Academy Webinar Series, PerfectBee Ambassador William Gullick joins Mark Williams to discuss equipment, tools and clothing choices for the beekeeper.
We look at how and when to use the iconic beekeeping smoker (or not!) before moving on to feeding your bees and when to do so.
After discussing the many choices for equipment and tools, we cover the important topic of protective clothing.
We end with a brief look at how beekeeping technology plays a role for the hobbyist beekeeper today.
Note: Around the 50 second mark William refers to his bees leaving the hive to forage, at 40 degrees. This was a small “verbal typo” and he has asked that we highlight he meant to say 50 degrees. Thank you for the clarification William!
