Section 3.1 Threats To Bees

In this Academy Webinar – the first in our A Healthy Beehive Course – we take a close look at the dangers faced by our bees today. PerfectBee Ambassador Joe Bates joins Mark Williams for a valuable discussion of this various threats.

We start with a summary of the many threats our bees face, before drilling down into some of the more impactful.

We then consider dangers from beetles to bears and then turn to some of the more concerning bee diseases.

We also look in some detail at the ever-present threat from mites and, in particular, the Varroa mite.

Finally, we discuss your role, as a beekeeper, in helping our bees to help themselves against these threats.
